As most of you will have seen on the news in the past 48hrs. With 2 storms back to back, the Mersey rose 2m between 10am and 7pm last night. Which unfortunately lead to the EA opening the flood gates.
From the look of it, it looks to have gone higher than last year, but with volunteers help yesterday, hopefully most of the damage has been prevented.
The Environmental Agency are going to start
pumping out the water tomorrow, so hopefully we can assess the damage soon.
Regarding matches, we have already managed to move the next 4wks of matches to alternative grounds. Please see the below
Bowdon Rugby Club

12th march 3s vs Burnage 3s
19th march 1s vs Oldham.

Thank you to Bowdon Rugby Club, MMU, the EA, NWRLR and our volunteers.
