After a competitive coaching recruitment process over the past couple of months, and having seen the impact that he has had both on and off the pitch last season, Didsbury Toc H are delighted to announce that Neil “Chippy” Pearson will be stepping up into the Head Coach role for the 25/26 season.
Chippy is keen to build on the improvements across all three squads under the tutorship of Guv in the 24/25 season. He’s ready to hit the ground running and lead the charge for promotion in 2025/2026.
After 8 seasons playing for the 1st XV, Josh Vize will be joining Chippy in a Player/Assistance Coach role this season, concentrating primarily on the backs and attack.
On the pitch, Tom Andrews and Owen Mills will bring their leadership qualities, driving the team in their performances as 1st XV Captain and Vice Captain respectively.
Having finally relinquished leadership duties with the 2XV, Conor Crowe has passed the reigns onto Ed Polley for the upcoming season. Having proved his importance on the pitch, being named 2nd XV Player of the Season, Ed is seen to be the perfect candidate to lead the 2nd XV in their drive for promotion this season.
Arthur Crabtree will once again be putting his little black book of both active and “retired” players to good use this season by continuing in his role as 3rd XV Captain.
With all three teams narrowly missing out on promotion last season, there is a real buzz around the club as we head into the new campaign. The lads are hungry to build on last season and push ever further.
The hard work starts Tuesday 1st July on the first day of preseason.
