DTH LADIES 53 CREWE AND NANTWICH LADIES 10

DTH Ladies first home game saw them come up against Crewe and Nantwich Ladies who last season finished 2nd in the RFU Women's National Competition North West 1 Division. Good conditions meant a good crowd gathered to watch with Crewe bringing a good number of supporters as well.

The first half saw a Didsbury get off to a good start putting a lot of pressure on the Crewe back line and it wasn't long before didsbury took the lead with a great individual effort from Miguela Kerins who handed off 3 players before scoring in the corner. Two try's from Jo Marie, another from Miguela with Olivia Ball and Zoë Child's Ford scoring as well with two conversions from Megan Grant Harris saw the first half cone to a close at 34 - 0 to the Home Side

Crewe and Nantwich came back fighting in the second half putting a lot of pressure on and holding Didsbury in there own half for a good portion of the half. Crewe's hard work paid Off with a score under the posts. Didsbury replied with a well worked try coming from Debutant Laura. Jo Marie got her second hat trick of the season with a good run finishing under the post converted by Megan Grant Harris. Crewe scored another try after some sustained pressure and a good strong individual run from Vicky Irwin who scored in the corner holding off a few didsbury players. The final score of the game gave captain Olivia Ball her second try of the match with a great interception and break away Try converted by Megan Grant Harris. The match finished with some more pressure from a relentless Crewe side who played right to the end.

The match come to an end with a scoreline Didsbury Toc H Ladies 53 Crewe and Nantwich Ladies 10 with Didsbury scoring 9 trys and 4 converstions.
