WEEK 2 REVIEW
TRAFFORD MV 12
TOC H 17
On the back of last weeks defeat, Toc 1st team looked to improve on the performance, but more importantly, get the win. Which the boys duly did.
Firstly, can I say thank you to our host MV. The facilities both on and off the pitch are exceptional, and i would go as far as to say it's the best playing surface at levels 7 and 6 in the northwest. Despite overhead conditions being a little unsettled, the pitch was perfect.
Toc got the win with tries from Josh Vize, who took advantage of some sleeping defence with a quick tap and go. Alex Mayoh, who was quick to be on the shoulder of skipper Tom Andrews Kick and chase. And Tim Byrne, who with very little room, beat 2 defenders to get in the corner.
Overall, the performance was an improvement from week one, and the lads found a way to win against a challenging MV side.
A fantastic win for the 2s and a hard fought draw for the 3s meant it was a successful weekend on the pitch for our 3 mens teams.
This 2 week break has come at a great time for theb1s, with our injuries and unavailability being particularly high. The spond available side looks to have greater depth going into the Aldwinians game on Oct 4th.
