Didsbury bounced back from a difficult start to their league campaign by routing visitors Sanbach in an 11 try haul.
Chris Reeves' charges took to the field in buoyant fashion, and the game was played in, uncharacteristic, October glorious sunshine. Soon the tries started to flow. Good work in the tight by John Shepherd, Dan Roberts and James Knowles led to a constant supply of good ball to be used by the pacey backline of Didsbury. Time and again Russ Oakley spread the play well stretching the visitors defence to breaking point.
The eleven tries were well spread round the side, with a hatrick for hard running number 8 Chris Matthews, Alex Bone (2), John Shepherd, Chris Reeves, Russ Oakley, Anthony Vasseur, Richie Bray and Jamie Bawden. There was also the notable score of a conversion by flanker Gui Dallies.
In the blistering heat Sandbach worked hard to constrain the Didsbury onslaught, and the visitors were close to a consolation try near the end of the match, only for the referee to be unsighted and unable to award the score.
A good team performance for Didsbury, and a number of players put in performances to potentially warrant a call-up to the 1st XV.
Next week the team make the short trip to Broughton Park to face their 3rd XV.
